Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 6th grade English and Social Studies. My students come from many different backgrounds with more than 75% receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Many of them come from single-parent households and struggle financially. I want the best for their education and don't want any of them to feel left out, so many times I use my own money to provide them basic school supplies.
My Project
I am requesting a $100 gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers. Now that we're 100% distance learning, a gift card from TPT would allow me to buy amazing digital resources and tools and at the same time help fellow educators with their small business.
I want my students to be excited about projects and lessons.
Many of these awesome resources are automatically updated to fit the current standards so I will be able to use them for future classes.
I know my students and I will face challenges, successes, frustrations, and laughs together this year. I want to help my students reach their goals, encourage them to achieve more than they ever thought they could, and inspire them to be the best possible versions of themselves.
