My Students

My students are thriving young performing artists. They are exploring all aspects of performance from music literacy, character development, solo performance, and ensemble experiences. Performing arts experiences encourage collaboration.

Meeting students with 21st century, real-world learning opportunities is essential to providing relevance in a traditional performance ensemble.

I share this idea with my students often. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." ~Aristotle.

Our school is in the heart of a community that supports education and knows its value. Students are motivated and engaged. Students are eager to learn; they embrace a challenging work environment and express the desire to be the best in all endeavors.

My Project

The Study.com teacher subscription will help to enhance my teacher toolbox. This resource will be used during individual and group instruction to enhance student knowledge and performance. Looking for digital resources that are useful in performing arts classrooms is often a real challenge.

After reviewing this resource I know that my students would benefit from a wealth of activities that build skills that support aspects of performance beyond the stage.

Working on elements of Theory and History is just as important as Performance Practice. This would be a valuable resource and the content would be a welcome addition to materials being currently utilized.
