Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from all different types of homes: dual parent homes, single parent homes, multi-generational homes, foster homes, broken homes, homes with a parent in the military and deployed, or even some who are homeless. Despite their differences and challenges, they come to school ready to learn.

They come to school with the idea that things will change: they will change, their future will change, their lives will change.

My students attend a Title I school in inner city San Diego and they go to school for a better life and future.

My Project

With the number of COVID cases increasing in California and our state's status is in the purple tier, our school will not be opening to in-person learning in the near future.

My students need more high quality digital resources in order to continue learning from home.

The materials from Teachers Pay Teachers allow my students to learn while online at home. The digital resources allow them to learn with ease without the need for physical materials. It allows all of my students to have access to the same material and they can be pulled up instantaneously when needed in class.
