Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a variety of students, from ELL students to students who need creative ways to learn. They need targeted interaction and are very hands-on learners. These students do not have access to technology. As I begin this online endeavor I’ll need more tools.

The students come from a variety of non-native English-speaking backgrounds and are almost unaware of alternate careers.

They see parents working hard but do not have that opportunity to see others or be involved in seeing a college. They need support, resources and creative background building.

My Project

The outcome of this project is to help me virtually educate underserved students in Washington, D.C.

Using these resources I plan to make sure my students are not falling behind.

During these times many unanticipated costs have arisen in schools and since it is towards the end of the year resources like this are more difficult to purchase.

This will help break down walls and barriers that may otherwise stop students from learning and creating excitement for heading back into the classroom.

I know that with your help students will be excited to join the virtual education classroom and continue to thrive!
