Digital Learners In Need Of Headphones And a Mouse
Help me give my students headphones, a computer mouse, and charging station so they will be better equipped to utilize our chromebooks and iPads to demonstrate their knowledge and imagination. The noise is deafening when they are working.
Help me close the achievement gap for my low-income, high poverty students who will not have the chance to experience many 21st century skills if not at school. My elementary students are growing up in a small town in rural Texas, where limited experiences are due to living in this area.
Students need to know that no matter where they start, they can achieve any goals they set for themselves that reach far beyond the community they are growing up in including designing 3D futuristic cities, inventing spa day creations for Mother’s Day, or designing an advertising campaign for other inventions by integrating art into STEAM.

My students range from K - 6th grade from a diverse background. They love to explore real-world problems as they try to work in small groups to collaborate with peers.
My Project
My students are eager learners who love to explore the world outside our classroom to learn about issues outside our small town. Many students will not have the opportunity to travel the world so it is important to bring the world to them via the internet.
Step inside our classroom and you will see students using both iPads and Chromebook's but without headphones it sounds like you just entered a war zone where noise is they tools for destruction.
We desperately need headphones to allow students to hear what they are working on instead of all other students work. They also need a computer mouse to give them greater freedom to create when we use the chromebooks. We also need chargers to be able to keep our iPads up and running.
