Help me give my students the ability to create digital Interactive Science notebooks. We have always used interactive notebooks in class, where learning comes alive, through drawing and foldables, but THIS YEAR is a year like No other.
I teach in an economically disadvantaged, inner city school. Many of our students count on school as their safety net, their safe place to be themselves and grow. Many live within difficult situations and poverty. This makes learning very challenging, for many reasons, but most of all a lack of materials. This grant will help them to make their learning individualized and their own, therefore more engaging.
Even though our students may come from less advantaged upbringing their passion for learning is intoxicating.
Our students work extra hard for everything they achieve and deserve every advantage that the world can bring to them.
My Project
Interactive science notebooks help student to individualize their learning. We use foldables and flip-books and all kinds of creative techniques to help them learn. THIS Year will be different. We are going remote, and science will be remote even if we move to a hybrid model.
I would like to purchase digital interactive notebook templates, that are editable and individualized for my students.
They will use them to create google slides that are like an interactive notebook. Each child will add a slide for each lesson we do, therefore creating a digital notebook. At the end of the year I will be able to print these slides for my upper level students so that they are able to use them next year when we are back in school full time. This grant will be invaluable to me as so many teachers have created outstanding templates already and they are ready for me to use on day one with my students.
