This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of very talented artists, who come from an economically disadvantaged area. Their disadvantage doesn't stop them from doing the best they can to create their artwork.
My art students see the world in a different way and they walk around, trying to capture the beauty of their surroundings into their artwork.
Some students like to draw, others like to paint, and some like taking photographs. My art students are very passionate about the work they create. They push themselves to complete a rigorous curriculum, in hopes of obtaining college credit.
My Project
An iPad in class would greatly benefit my students as they would have the opportunity to create digital artwork. The camera feature can be utilized to take photos of their artwork. They can then use a variety of apps that you can draw directly and digitally over their original artwork using an Apple Pencil.
My students can create digital artwork over the uploaded, original hand drawn, artwork and create digital artwork or graphics that can be used in their AP 2D Portfolio.
Students can also learn how to create digital graphics they would be able to see in advertisement, this wouldn't be possibhle with pencil and paper alone.
