My Students
My students have shown an incredible ability to adapt to new situations. As part of my professional development, I have been introducing my students to new strategies and technology. Each time, they prove that can handle new things. Even recently, when we had a need to switch to remote learning, they proved that they can implement new skills and technology successfully.
They have a strong desire for improvement.
As a part of our class, we analyze our data. The students see how they have improved and set goals for continual progression. They recognize what helped them become successful and identify how they can improve.
My Project
I introduced my students to Nearpod while we were required to do distance learning. I instantly fell in love with the increased level of engagement over other solutions I have tried. I very quickly filled the amount of storage space I have on my free Nearpod account and want to upgrade. I plan to continue using Nearpod with my students, even when we are back to in-person instruction.
I want my students to have a memorable way to practice the four Cs: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication.
That is where the Breakout EDU kit comes into play. I learned about it through a professional development course and am excited to try it out with my students.
