Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students come from various backgrounds and circumstances. The things they have in common far out weigh their differences. Many of my students have learning difficulties, troubles at home, or language barriers, but they all want the opportunity to succeed in school.

I believe nothing can replace experience in a student's life. Therefore I do my best to take them out into the real world for field trips and other learning experiences. I need a better way to bring the experiences back to the classroom and extend them.

With the 2 digital cameras I have requested my students could take pictures on our trips and use them as spring board to learn more and apply the concepts being taught in the classroom. English Language Learners could make vocabulary cards, others could find real life examples of simple/complex machines, examples of erosion and more.

The digital cameras will allow my students to relate the real world to the classroom experiences and enhance their understanding and learning. Please help me create a vibrant learning environment that will benefit all my kids.
