My students need one Kodak EasyShare Pocket Video Camera.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Burran's classroom raised $229
This project is fully funded
I'm a first grade ESL teacher in a low socio-economic school district. I have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds in my classroom, and am constantly in search of materials that will help diminish the learning gap. I believe that the Kodak camcorder will be an amazing tool that will help all of my students become engaged learners.
My students are growing up in a time where there is a big divide in the technological tools available. Some families have many high-tech items available, while some of my families have very few technological resources. I am trying to bridge this divide, and make ALL of my students and parents more familiar with technology, and how it can improve their education. This camera will allow my students to develop areas of interest by planning movies that can be shared with parents as well as other students.
Our class is in need of a Kodak® EasyShare Zi6 Pocket Video Camera. This is a remarkable little camera that takes stunning HD videos. It has an easy upload feature with built-in USB. It has the ability to record hours of video—up to 32 GB worth!
We will be able to view videos that we make on any HDTV with the included cables.
The ability to edit and share videos with the included software CD will make this camera a teaching tool of considerable power and outreach!
Imagine the thrill of being a student logging into our classroom website and showing your parent a video that was made in class? This camera is a resource that will be used by many classes to come!
Your help in supporting this grant will enable us to make videos showing parents how to help their children with reading, increase fluency with my English as Second Language learners, and much more! Using this camera will help unite our classroom into a family of digital learners. It will also be a huge asset in developing Home/School relationships.
