This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Back in 2020, my students were in 3rd grade and had only just begun the monumental task of learning their math facts. Over the course of the pandemic, this group continued to learn and practice math in the most unique ways, most often with the use of digital copies and resources. Now that we are back to learning in person full time, it is clear to us that putting our pencils to the paper is the most engaging way to manipulate and absorb the math we are learning.
Access to a reliable printer and adequate copies for all students has proven to be quite a challenge this year.
With a reliable classroom printer, I can provide paper copies and individual practice activities on the spot. Being able to give students tasks and practice opportunities that are tailored to their individual needs is crucial to their learning. Having our own printer to do so would enhance our learning experience!
