it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to experience what it feels like to be an artist, a maker, and a creator.
They are full of dreams and ideas for themselves and want to express their uniqueness in the work they do.
All my students are open to new experiences and aren’t afraid to take creative risks. The only thing that is holding them back is the lack of resources and supplies necessary to make their passions come to life.
Our school is located in the bustling city of South Los Angeles. We are surrounded by so much energy, culture, and languages. We are a community that fosters healthy relationships and we strive to support each other as a family would.
My Project
I will be teaching digital art as a new course at my new school site and I’m in need of a few tech items to be prepared for the upcoming school year.
As the only art teacher on campus, it is vital that I am equipped with the necessary technology that will allow me to successfully teach digital art using an iPad.
In art class, I regularly model what I’m doing on my screen so that students can follow along on the projection screen. In order for me to successfully achieve that I need the correct vga adapter and keyboard for the iPad I’ll be using to teach digital art. I greatly appreciate all donations that will make teaching digital art a success.
