it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We start each morning with a greeting and handshake as my students file into the room. My students eager to learn and I am eager to provide them with best instruction and learning environment possible. A part of this instruction involves centers and small group instruction.
Our school is over eighty years old.
It is located near the border with Mexico and close to a U.S. Army installation. Our students include military dependents and children of hard working families. Many of our students come from with limited means, but with unlimited dreams and energy. The goal of many of my students is to become the first college graduates in their families.
My Project
Studies have shown that student that engage in art projects perform better in reading and math. Art helps engage young minds and keep student interest in other subjects. Art activities can be used a tool to gage student understanding of a given subject or story.
Students will be creating both a physical and digital portfolio of their artwork.
Students will use the art kit while making their physical portfolio This portfolio (especially the digital) part of a permanent record of student work. Student will increase their technology skills. Students will learn how to scan and save documents using the flatbed scanner to other devices and the cloud.
