My students need an online source to gain access to my lessons. I am a dual credit Algebra 2 teacher. The idea is that I can offer Algebra 2 to a larger range of students.
We serve students who, for many different reasons, were unable to complete their high school diploma, in a public school setting. Our school allows these students a second chance at a core 40 high school diploma.
These individuals range from 16-55 years old and know that the work place is unforgiving of their educational background- no diploma means no job. The majority of our students come to us for career readiness training, but we have an increasing number of college bound graduates.
My Project
Have you ever taken an online class? With the use of an EBeam, I will be able to reach students who are unable to come to a traditional school and give them the true educational experience they deserve. Students who work full time, second shift, or stay at home with their children, will now be able to complete Algebra 2 and potentially earn a dual credit, in Math 136, from Ivy Tech.
Educating adults is my passion.
Giving adult students a chance to gain dual credits will make them more marketable in the job field as well as open doors to experiences they never thought possible.
Many adults seeking a high school diploma believe college is unattainable. I am giving them a chance to gain dual credits. This will give them the confidence they need to succeed in what ever endeavor they choose.
