This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected.
School is a safe and happy place for my students.
Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.
My Project
I am requesting seat sacks for my class. Seat sacks will be placed on the backs of each student's chair. These seat sacks provide storage for materials that students use daily, such as folders, notebooks, and writing utensils. Seat sacks will help students distance themselves and not have to walk to get important materials.
The stylus pens will help reinforce pencil grips and help make writing and/or drawing more legible.
Using their fingers for writing or drawing on the laptops is not practical or beneficial in learning how to write.
Resources like digital math and reading stations from Teacher Pay Teacher are helpful to provide students with the best use of their technology. In addition, students will appreciate quality and colorful activities that are compatible with seesaw to make learning accessible and fun.
