Our school may be small, but it is mighty! Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.
This project will reach all 150 students within the 7th & 8th grades at RAMS.
Being a school that has experienced budget cuts, we have not been able to receive funding for classroom sets of a book series that we read as a fun novel study. The Gravediggers series by Christopher Krovatin is a fascinating series about three teenage kids who fight zombies and learn life lessons along the way. We would love to receive enough funding to have a classroom set of these books so that students could continue to find reading success in a series that they love!
My Project
This project is meant to help our students grow into people who love to read. The students here in 7th and 8th grade have really taken to a particularly book series called Gravediggers by Christopher Krovatin. They love the idea that there are three kids similar to them in age, likes/dislikes, and personalities that get to battle zombies.
As a Reading team, we would like to get funding to provide enough of the first book in order to foster their love of reading!
By getting a classroom set of these books, we would like to create a fun novel study that not only ties in core literature elements but is also fun, exciting, and a little on the creepy side.
