My Project

My students work so hard during our DIGS Groups. This is effectively our Guided Reading time. My on-level and above grade level readers love Literature Circles and I enjoy providing them a wide range of reading books on various topics and genres.

I love seeing the joy on the student's faces when they finish a book they would have never selected for themselves.

I am always preaching that readers have to READ to grow. This includes reading topics and genres that are not always their first choice. Literature Circles provide my students the opportunity to dive deeper into a text and participate in conversations with peers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
