This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!
My classroom is greatly affected by this because I have students who are beyond stressed out because they don’t have the support at home to do the work on a computer or they don’t know how to navigate the computer.
They are learning in noisy environments and don’t have a good teacher to teach the lessons.
My Project
These books will help my students as I teach from home so I can enrich my students' love for reading through this difficult time. I will facilitate learning by providing my students with new literature. This literature will teach them about friendship, culture, and determination while teaching them skills that they need to learn for the remainder of the year. In closing, my students will be able to connect to the themes in these books so they can continue to have a love for reading during this difficult time in their lives.
