Differenting Instruction During Distance Learning

Help me give my students instructional materials so I can differentiate their learning and to meet the needs of my students during distance learning.

My Students

Many schools and public spaces were closed in order to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. As a result, schools turned to distance learning to continue teaching. By doing so, my students have had to go from working in a small to 1:1 instruction setting to working at home, participating in 15 minutes of live session a day at home while trying to complete instruction work with the help of their parents. Currently, the school district have provided Chromebooks for all students in the classroom but this is not enough to meet the needs of my students.

My Project

Whether it is day or night or working from home or school, teachers are always browsing the web or using Pinterest to look for appropriate instructional materials to use with their students. For my students, differentiating instruction is important part of their learning.

All of my students are at different stages of learning and requires focus on working one skill at a time.

TeachersPayTeachers (TpT) has one of been my go to site to look for instructional materials. I am able to easily find materials of all subjects that are at their appropriate instruction level. Furthermore, parents will be able to work on the work packets with their child more easily because the directions are simplified and worded in a way students are already used to hearing at school. Lastly, these materials can be used and presented during Google Live meetings to review and teach new skills. Parents will learn firsthand what verbiage is used to teach the students, as well as strategies to use when working with their child at home.
