Differentiation Through Engagement

My Students

My students attend a small culturally diverse charter school in Southern California. Many of these students face language, economic, or family challenges, but they all show up excited and ready to learn. All of our students participate in the free and reduced price lunch program, and they come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of these students are English Learners with limited resources at home to help them thrive.

For many, our school and my classroom are only safe places for these students to explore, make mistakes, and be free as learners.

My Project

I work with an incredible group of enthusiastic, hardworking students. Part of what makes teaching them so rewarding is that they all bring their own strengths and personalities to small group instruction. One size does not fit all. This where I could use your help!

A contribution from you will help me purchase a variety of resources to support the different learning styles, academic levels, and interests in my class, resources that will meet each child's needs.

Whenever I need additional activities for my class, Teachers Pay Teachers is a great resource that provide engaging, hand-on activities to support student learning.
