Help me give my students the individualized reading materials and instruction they need. This includes Raz-Plus, Reading A-Z, and other digital resources.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my students overcome obstacles every day of their lives just to come to school every morning, For some, it's poverty. For others, it's health problems. For others, it is family issues. Yet, despite these myriad difficulties, they come to school every day, in order to build a brighter future for themselves.
During COVID, the challenges they face are even greater since they have not had face-to-face learning since March of 2020.
My Project
My students read at different levels, ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade and my goal is to help each one improve one or more grade levels by the end of the school year. They also face tremendous obstacles in writing, from organizing their thoughts to the conventions of the English language. They are special education students who have mandated goals to become better readers and writers and it is my job to help them achieve these goals.
The requested resources will help me plan individualized and differentiated reading and writing instruction for my students, which also include English Language Students.
They will also provide me with resources, both digital and print, to use for small group and whole class instruction.
