Differentiated Learning Tools for Different Learners!

My students need a variety of seating available and tools to help them focus. We are a diverse group of students who like to move while learning. These tools will help keep us busy and focused. WE need bouncy bands, rugs and more.

My Students

The students in my classroom are a diverse group of students who learn through research and exploration. They use every space within the room as a learning canvas.

My students are curious, eager, and dedicated learners who are ready to inquire and explore the world around them.

They will use literacy skills to learn about themselves and others while building connections. This year, we will be using a reading and writing workshop model along with the IB PYP curriculum to continue to learn and express our understandings about the world around us.

My Project

We have a wide variety of reflective learners who are continuing to learn how they work best. These different types of seating and learning tools will allow students to access different resources that allow them to feel and experience success in the classroom.

Recognizing and understanding the wide variety of learners in the classroom is key to having a warm and welcoming environment.

This project will allow me to provide a better learning environment for all of my students, especially the ones that would benefit from these different learning tools. Students would immediately find help with these supplies if they were added to our room.

Some of the learning materials that would be helpful in our classroom are carpet squares, exercise ball seats, and stress balls. Some students benefit from having a specific area to call their own. The carpet squares will help the learners recognize their learning spots and stay with the group. Stress balls will help students that benefit from having something to fidget with while still participating in the class lessons. A few students often move around and need seating that allows them to move around while working so the exercise ball chairs will help bring in differentiated seating.
