Differentiated Learning Styles for a Successful Classroom
My students need a Califone Infrared Listening Center w/Eight Headphones to listen to CDs and tapes. I use a reading center daily during reading that needs a working CD player and headphones so that my students can practice reading the story of the week along with the CD. This gives my students practice reading correctly and the joy of the written word.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 25 lovely second grade students. These lovely students need a little help to ensure that they will be successful readers. I also teach ENL students as well as special education students. Often the best way for my students to learn is to hear something over and over. A CD player and headphones will allow my students to hear a story as many times as necessary to ensure success.
My students love to read - but need a little help understanding what they have read. New words can pose quite a problem. The solution would be a CD player that the students could stop and listen to a word over and over until they master the word.
What an idea! A CD player and headphones to allow the students to replay as many times as necessary a story to ensure success. This player will benefit all of my students and will be used for many years to come.
Please consider funding this proposal. I know that with the aid of the player and headphones my students reading will improve and with improved reading comes improved reading test scores. Reading test scores are seen as the measure of a child's success in school and with a CD player and headphones I know my students will all be viewed as successful!
