Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is in a suburban city outside of Houston, TX. My students come from all over the world because their parents generally move here for job opportunities, which makes our school a high English learner population.

At our school, we strive to find the leader in every student.

We are encouraging a community of learners and collaborators. We aim for all students to have an educational experience while preparing them to be lifelong learners equipped with skills for life, critical thinkers, and contributors.

My Project

I need a small group easel to not only allow me to teach small groups through distance learning, but it will also allow me to support students in small groups once we get back into the classroom. A small group table top easel will help students acquire foundational reading skills because I will be able to teach guided reading, add magnetic letters for word work, write sentence stems to support learners, and draw graphic organizers to organize information we read about. I can also use it to set up an instant learning station any where in the classroom.
