This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help us with our letter sounds, phoneme blending, and sound manipulation so we can become successful readers.
The majority of students in my first grade class are struggling with letter sounds and phoneme blending.
Several of the students do not get many opportunities to read to someone or be read to. Due to the class size increase it's very difficult for me to meet with all the students everyday to work individually with them. They need to be able to practice independently until I can meet with them.
My Project
My students deserve every opportunity that I can give them to become confident successful readers. The Hear Myself Sound Phones will allow the children to hear every sound they say. The phones are perfect for exploring letter sounds, phoneme blending, and sound manipulation. The Dr. Seuss books with CDs are fun books that would allow the students to practice rhyming.
