This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
LDC writing tablets will motivate my students to do dictation. What I usually do is that during dictations I have them take out their white boards and I will dictate a word. Students have a procedure they follow. When students are done writing their words, I have them put their whiteboards up and I give them immediate feedback on their work. I really liked doing this last year, but this year, I want to switch it to the LCD writing tablets.
This project will also motivate my students to do their reading homework and keep up with their good behavior in class by providing students with prizes.
Last year, I was able to give my students prizes for every 10 books they read. Students were also able to count their reading homework as one book. Parents were very happy since they were excited about their children doing their homework. My list includes prizes that I used with my students last year, which they loved.
