Help me give my students supplies to help build fluency and independence with math! These dice and containers will help me organize centers so students can learn at differentiated levels in math.
For many of my students, kindergarten is their very first year in the classroom! This year is a magical year of learning, friendships, art projects, new experiences, and building a community with their peers and teachers. This is a pivotal year: I consider this year to set the foundation in igniting a lifelong passion for learning. My students are experiencing so many new things this year: they are starting to learn to read, writing to express their ideas, using numbers to solve problems, and so much more.
My students come from diverse financial and academic backgrounds.
Some of my students are English Language Learners while other students need special supports and accommodations to help them be successful. While these things are challenges for some students, all of my students are eager and excited to learn and grow. I want to help foster that excitement beyond the first day of kindergarten to set my students up for a lifetime of learning and growth!
My Project
Preparing math centers that are tailored to my students' needs is huge in helping my students progress and succeed with their math abilities. These supplies will allow me to set up differentiated centers for my students to practice and build their math skills. Using dice in the classroom is a great way to give students differentiated experiences that match what we are learning and where we are going as the year progresses!
Knowing my students' ability levels and planning activities and exploration that foster their ability levels in connection to moving them forward is significant for their growth and success!
These supplies will allow me to organize materials so that students can get just what they need during our math block. Having supplies that are ready to go and right at their fingertips helps them to build independence and responsibility for their learning.
The more hands-on the experiences are, the more enjoyable and engaging they are for my students! My students LOVE dice, and these supplies give each student access in my classroom: from my special needs students, to my English Learners, my at grade level students, and my above grade level students!
