Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have loved reading every Kate DiCamillo book available in our school and classroom library. To continue their love for reading, I hope to gain a class set of all possible DiCamillo books. Students in my classroom like her style of writing and have also enjoyed every movie adaptation of her books. My school library doesn't have a large collection of her books specifically, so I would like to have these books, as I'm sure they will hold their interest and keep them reading in my classroom. My students HATE to skip read-aloud time, and I hope this encourages them to read outside my classroom, too.
