My Project
As the school librarian at a dual language campus, I am always searching for books that truly engage our readers. This project brings the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series to our Spanish-speaking students, titles like Diario de Greg: Un Renacuajo, La Ley de Rodrick, and Días de Perros, books that are wildly popular but often missing from our shelves in Spanish. By adding this full series to our library, I hope to inspire more students to read for fun and strengthen their comprehension and fluency in Spanish.
My goal is to create an inclusive and exciting reading space where every student sees themselves in books they love.
These titles are relatable, funny, and easy to connect with, especially for reluctant readers. Pairing these books with the GEDDES Diary of a Wimpy Kid 6-color pens with stampers will make checking out books a little more fun and personal, giving readers a special tool to track their reading or write about their favorite characters.
Our students are curious, bilingual learners who light up when they find stories that match their interests and language.
