My class is a class of 32 enthusiastic learners who come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunches, and many of them have already experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. Our classroom is our home away from home. We all come together as a community for lessons and fun activities. However, our resources are limited. We are in need of tools to help meet the needs of each individual learner in our classroom.
In our classroom, we are one big family, and we are part of a larger school community.
Some students struggle with daily academic skills, especially those students who find traditional learning activities difficult or who are learning English as their second language. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and it is important to celebrate the diversity that exists within our classroom. It is essential that my students learn to understand and celebrate their differences and similarities and to be respectful of other cultures, races, genders, and ideologies.
My Project
With Covid-19 still effecting our classroom environment daily, we are in need of Dial Handsoap and SoaPen hand sanitizer to help keep the germs away. We stop and wash our hands multiple times throughout the day and go through many bottles of soap each week making it difficult to keep up with keeping a supply of soap readily available.
Handwashing can be rough on our skin and Dial soap will help keep our skin moisturized, germ free and smelling great!
Our classroom family is also made up of diverse learners from all cultures and backgrounds. The Browndages skin tone bandages will make students feel seen and will help celebrate the beautiful differences that makes each and every one of my students unique. My students will love to be able to have bandages that match their own individual skin tones and will create a more inclusive environment for all of my students.
