Help me give my students a Roku Tv and mount that will display their digital assignments and serve as a message board with pertinent daily information.
Students are learning that having a growth mindset is the key to success.
Just yesterday I was helping a student who was having trouble doing something on the computer. I told her that we are learning how to do a lot of new things on the laptop that she hasn't done before and that it will get easier with more practice. She replied back to me that she just hasn't learned how to do it-YET!!
The 32 students in my class come from a middle-class neighborhood in a suburb of the capital city.
My Project
We use technology in our classroom on a daily basis and the students are creating projects digitally rather than on paper. Having a Smart TV in our classroom will provide them with the opportunity to proudly display their work. It will also encourage them to take more pride in their assignments knowing that their projects will be visual to others and not just hiding in the cloud.
We are creating BOLD learning in the classroom this year by integrating old school wisdom with new technologies.
We have a large group of students split into two classes. In the past, they have struggled with showing progress. Therefore, we came up with a plan to divide them into smaller groups and create rotation stations. Students are receiving face-to-face instruction along with online learning to provide an educational experience that allows them to achieve more growth.
The Roku TV will also allow me to have a digit message board in which I can share with the students the information about the learning tasks that need to be completed each day.
