This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials in this project will help my students develop their motor skills. Beginner pencils and sensory bags will help them build and strengthen their motor skills, such as holding a pencil, and prepare them for the years to come. Light Table Sensory and sensory toys will help them stay calm, as some students have autism. The Mobile Dry Erase Board on Wheels will help me move the board to any place in the classroom, and I can use it for math, reading, and writing. SLIMYGLOOP Slimy Sand will help them develop their fine motor skills. The Squishy Sensory Toys for Kids, Sensory Bean Bags, Shape Learning Sensory Toys, Squishy Sensory Toys, Fruit Themed Mindful Maze Boards, will help them build their cognitive awareness and understanding of colors, numbers, counting, and more. Overall, all the materials on the list focus on each student's academic, motor, and cognitive development. The students with autism will create a neutral connection in their brains, which is a way to stimulate their senses, body coordination, and improve balance.
