My Students
Our New York City middle school serves students in grades 6-8. Our school offers a wide variety of after-school enrichment classes. Our after school classes include a sports, music, and arts as well as academic programs.
The students in our school represent the diverse population of New York City.
Our ambitious and hard-working students are eager to learn and express themselves. The after-school classes offer our students the freedom to develop some of their talents and interests they may not be able to explore during the day.
My Project
Our photography club is in its second year and our students are very talented. They love to express themselves creatively.
Our student photographers have a keen eye and are eager to learn how to perfect their craft.
Most students have been using their phones to take pictures. They want to learn how a camera works.
The Canon Powershot G9 allows students the opportunity to use the manual features of the camera such as the aperture and shutter speed to create dramatic photographs. This will give them more exposure to the skills of the craft and will help build their confidence. Many of the students have asked for the opportunity to use our one camera that has these features.
