This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is a truth that writing is a difficult subject for students and their teachers as well. The former feels that it is a waste of time and the latter feels defeated when trying to convince children otherwise. Writing causes such anxiety in students and in teachers seeing that we face such a fixed mindset in students when it comes to writing.
My goal is to help students see that they can be good writers and even come to like writing, if not love it, through one sentence at a time, eventually, one paragraph at a time.
I need all the help I can get to help my students see that writing can truly be a very good thing. These books will help me guide the students in enjoying writing a SINGLE sentence, that they will then be wanting to develop that one sentence into more. Please partner with me and help me get these notebooks, one for each child, so they can see their writing skills grow.
