Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are highly motivated and are up for the challenge. They are also very creative as they love hands on activities. Many of my students are from low income household and due to the current situation, my students lack basic school supplies to do any hands on activities.
I want to provide the resources for my students so that they can interact with their family doing various hands on learning activities at home.
Such as creating a poster board with a book we just finished reading, making cards for Father's Day and many more.
My Project
Please help my students with the basic school supplies that are needed during this time of remote learning as a result of Coronavirus. Majority of my students are from low income family and with sudden school closure, I was not able to provide them with essential school supplies.
During this time of remote learning, basic assignments have been paper and pencil.
As students face the challenges of staying home, I want to assign work that involves more active learning. I want students to be able to draw pictures of their dad on the sidewalk for Father's Day, I want them to create a poster board of their favorite character from One and Only Ivan book we just finished reading, I want students to create a sign thanking all the healthcare workers that are fighting to end Coronavirus, and many more.
