Developing Minds Need Big Imaginations!

Help me give my students a light table with accessories to jump start their pre-writing, language, and STEM learning; and some gross and fine motor toys to strengthen their coordination, socialization, and cooperation skills.

My Students

Our students are a mix of 3 to 5-year-old general education and special education children who don't see school as a place to learn, but rather, as a place to play. Fortunately, children learn through play!

As our PreK students have entered their first years of school, there is a noticeable difference in their ability to engage in play-based activities as compared to children of the same age in previous years.

The pandemic has delayed their social/emotional and, in many cases, cognitive development. Our youngest students were only 18 months old when COVID-19 first interrupted their learning!

My Project

These resources will help foster social/emotional and cognitive growth to help young minds thrive. The pandemic has set our children back. The lack of social interaction, stimulating experiences, and access to early childhood education and resources has resulted in missed learning opportunities during critical brain development windows. Special education students have suffered even greater impacts that must be considered immediately.

Your donation will help address the various needs and stages of Special Education preschoolers.

This amazing light table will utilize sensory simulation to promote cognition as well as recollection of previous skills for children at all levels. The big knob puzzles will help our intensive students to develop motor skills and foundational abilities while the counting cones provide differentiation for our higher-level learners. The playground balls and dinosaur sets promote socialization skills such as sharing, cooperation, and reciprocal play both indoors and out. By donating to our project you will help us overcome pandemic setbacks and provide little learners with lots of laughs and smiles for years to come!
