Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I'm requesting, such as board games and lawn games, will significantly impact the high school community experiences of our students with disabilities.
These resources will create an inclusive and supportive environment within the Circle of Friends club, where they can socialize, learn, and develop vital life skills.
The board games will enable students with diverse needs to engage in enjoyable, interactive activities that foster cognitive and social development for our students. It also fosters empathy, understanding, and inclusivity. It breaks down barriers, promotes diversity, and enriches personal growth by building genuine connections with unique individuals.
My goal for this project is to nurture an inclusive and accepting community where students with disabilities can build meaningful friendships. What makes my students special is their resilience and capacity to teach empathy, fostering an environment where differences are celebrated, not stigmatized.
