My students need a MacBook because it provides reliable, easy to use film editing software and a research tool that will enable them to create innovative documentaries.

My Students
We are a group of history teachers that are extremely fortunate to work with the best students in the world. We each teach some form of social studies: geography and US History. We even have an oral communications teacher involved in supporting our students.
Our students are intrinsically driven to be the best.
When they compete, they compete to win. We have recently started a National History Day group. This group of students find a topic of their own interest that relates to a theme and conduct research on it. The students then find their own creative way of displaying that information.
My Project
Some of our students chose to create documentaries over their researched topic. The National History Day organization requires a specific program for students to use to create a documentary. Unfortunately, this year, we lacked the capabilities to provide students with the technology necessary for students to use the required program.
A MacBook is vital to the success of our students for National History Day who are creating documentaries.
This existential piece of technology will support and run the program required for students to create their National History Day documentary. With the purchase of this computer, students will have all the tools needed to create winning work.
