This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Friendship bracelets often hold sentimental value and can convey personal messages. By donating to this project you are giving students an opportunity to express themselves through the bracelets they create, strengthening their sense of identity and self-expression with the friendship bracelet maker requested. As students are creating their bracelets they will learn to problem-solve and adapt, enhancing their critical thinking abilities.

Many friendship bracelet designs have cultural significance, originating from various traditions and communities around the world.

My goal is for students to learn about different cultures and appreciate diversity through exploring these traditions.

The students in my after school program come from low income households who may not have the opportunity to purchase such items. Having access to various opportunities is not taken for granted. They deeply appreciate the opportunities that education and after school programs provides and are often highly motivated to make the most of their educational experiences.
