Developing a Stronger Science Vocabulary Through Play!
Help me give my students materials like kinetic sand, animal figurines and storage containers to hold them to help develop a stronger vocabulary for science while learning through play.

My Project
My students love to learn through play! During speech therapy, students work on multiple skills, including how to categorize objects, develop new vocabulary, and increase the length of their sentences. The important thing is to teach these skills while allowing the kids to have fun!
The hope for this project is to develop a stronger vocabulary for science terms while doing the fun things they enjoy!
Using kinetic sand and the storage bins, we will hide a variety of the Safari Limited figurines for my students to find. After finding these figurines, we'll place them into the appropriate habitats including the forest, river and desert. They will be able to search through multiple colors of kinetic sand, including green (forest), brown (desert), and blue (river). This hide-and-seek play will keep the kids feeling excited while working on skills that will help them with their academics in the future!
