My Students

We are a small, rural school consisting of 50 students located on a 10,000 acre ranch. Because of our size and location, we miss out on some learning experiences. Our students love to learn, and being able to provide them with a variety of learning experiences will definitely enhance their learning.

Because we are a rural school, resources usually found in a typical elementary school are not always available to us.

I want to provide my students with the best education possible, and with more resources available for us such as hands-on materials, I will be able to do this.

My students love hands-on activities that make learning come alive. They are a very active group, and making leaning enjoyable for them is one of my goals not only this year, but for many years to come.

My Project

With your generosity, my students will develop a love of learning through engaging, hands-on, student centered activities.

My students will become confident readers through the use of Flip & Read Sight Word Sentences, the Touch & Read CVC Words Match, and Word Family Flip Books.

Sight Word Magnets will give my students the opportunity to explore common words through a hands-on approach, giving them skills necessary for a life-long love of reading.

My students will continue on their mathematical journey using the Math Skills Write and Wipe Boards, allowing them to see concepts that are sometimes hard to visualize. Magna-Tiles will allow my students to develop critical problem solving skills and provide hands-on developmental opportunities.

All of these engaging activities give my students opportunities for learning, opening their minds to the world around them.
