This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is an SES (Social Economic School). Many of our students are receiving free or reduced-price lunch at school. A big percentage of our students come from bilingual homes and families. They love school and come each day to explore, think and learn.
The teachers and I teach all our students to be lifelong learners and citizens in our community and world.
We teach and bring in real-world activities and experiences into our learning and teaching classroom. This helps students make connections from their learning to their real world.
My Project
These resources will be used at school for the students to practice their phonological awareness skills to improve their reading.
They will use these resource at their desks and in small group with teacher to reinforce and practice the reading skills we are learning in school.
With remote learning and the pandemic, many students are struggling in their basic reading skills. Therefore, these games and resources will help them to develop and strengthen their reading skills.
These activities and games will help to develop their learning at school and home.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
