My students need four Chromebooks to use for project based learning activities.

My Students

I currently have 30 students in my third class. My students are excited, eager and ready to embrace technology. They are very excited about learning but at the moment we only have one working computer with internet access in the classroom. As well as majority of my students are faced with socio-economic challenges at home which doesn't allow them to have access to technology. They are in a school that doesn't have much technology and the students need to be exposed to technology that can enhance their proficiency in all subject areas. Which ultimately will prepare them for future endeavors.

My Project

My students need to be exposed to more project based learning. Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.

My students read and think on a higher grade level so they need these laptops to conduct research.

This will allow my students to gain knowledge on subjects that aren't discussed in our classroom based text. My students need to be exposed to more critical thinking text to build their skills. My students have a keen interest for many different things that are restricted due to the limited text that we use in class. These materials will allow them to be exposed to more complex subjects.
