This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My bilingual first-grade students are full of joy and are eager to learn. Our classroom is a place of daily growth, constant challenge and discovery. My students will spend this year learning the foundations of reading, writing and math in order to succeed in their lives. They are quickly becoming independent learners. They are taking the information they have learned and applying it to multiple activities that allow them to use their imaginations and their own high level of thinking skills. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

All of my students want to get a chance to use technology everyday in our classroom. Unfortunately, they have to take turns throughout the week because we do not have enough headphones for the students to do so.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase students' independence and focus, you will ultimately help them to increase their academic achievement by using the technology we currently have.

The headphones will provide the opportunity for the kids in the classroom to have access to personalized computer based programs that address their independent needs.

If you choose to support our project, you will help my students engage in today's technology literate world.
