My Students
Our school is truly a diverse multicultural community serving students from all around the world. I have never worked in a school where students are constantly learning about differences in one another's cultures/backgrounds though casual conversations and interactions throughout the day. This is something that makes our school profoundly special.
I will be co-teaching in an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classroom this year.
This means that 30 percent of our students will have IEPs (Individualized Educational Plans). In an effort to keep our classroom as organized and user-friendly as possible my co-teacher and I would like to make some upgrades to help our beautifully diverse class.
My Project
I know that a Seat Sack may not seem like a very valuable gift to a child, but in a classroom without personalized desks each child needs his/her own personal space!
Not only will having a seat sack help keep our classroom organized and functional, but it will also maximize learning time.
Without these seat sacks, supplies are bound to get lost, mixed up, misplaced, etc. Students care very much about their belongings and have made it known that these items are necessary for organized learning to take place.
In other words, without them we all might lose our minds.
