My Students

Have you ever sat in a small desk for 6 hours straight? Well, my middle school students come in a range of sizes and shapes and are all expected to sit in a chair attached to a desk to work together on important math concepts. Partner tables will allow us to work together comfortably!

My students come from a variety of background and socioeconomic situations.

60% of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch. They are all also at different levels in their academic abilities. We have attendance issues, motivation challenges and many others. Creating a positive learning environment is very important.

My Project

I enjoy promoting collaboration so that all levels can learn from each other. Having tables instead of desks will allow me to create a comfortable learning environment where group work and collaboration is easy to integrate into every lesson! This last set of tables will complete my classroom set and allow all students to benefit from the collaborative setting I strive to maintain.

My project will help me create a better environment for my students.

Middle school math is already challenging enough without being confined to a single desk every day. Help me make math more engaging and fun for my kids!
