My Students

My students are surrounded by high poverty, yet strive to achieve academic goals and competitiveness. They are very strong in history and culture. Most of my students do not have access to computers, internet connections, or communications in many of their homes. We are a 100% free breakfast school.

Our school is rural with extensive student needs.

These students who come from humble beginnings can do extraordinary things as the opportunity arises. My students want to learn current skills to better prepare themselves for the future. Our school is ethnically and academically diverse. Every student has an equal opportunity to learn and grow through any all types of activities and opportunities.

My Project

My students have to share chairs, sit on broken seats put together by many facets of materials. Being able to sit in seats that are comfortable, safe, and new helps them learn better without interruptions. They will be able to sit in groups and in their desk area without worry of being pinched, cut, or even having their hair caught. These distractions will be eliminated and all can focus on learning. These seats will literally be comfortable school furniture that the class can be proud to show and use. No more will they be frustrated over sitting in chairs with what we now call full of boo boos.
