My Project

My students come from a community that values skills, but might not necessarily value the skills tied to services. By teaching them to market their skillset they will see relevance in what they are learning.

My goal is to provide students with the opportunity to see value in the skillset they have obtained through our class.

These stickers and designs will be shared within the community, with hopes that we will grow into makers, and producers that can market the skills we have. With the lamination materials, we will produce and reinforce stickers that can last years. With the cold press laminator, students will have high quality prints that will consistently be protected and applied to different materials. With the transfer tape, and shirt-measuring tools students will produce products in the industry standard -- an important mindset and standard to consistently reach as they develop into young adults within the working-class.

My students consist of individuals who come from different cultures and backgrounds. They are all special because they bring to the table a different perspective, and insight during our critiques. They all push each other to think more creatively, and produce with intention.
