Designing Prototypes

My Project

My students need real life experience to be ready for the future work force. My students have learned to navigate computer automatic design via Tinkercad and Thingiverse this year. I would like to bring their design prototypes to life by using these 3D printing pens. These pens are easy to use for this age groups. The students can create their prototypes on a digital platform and then, see their creation come to life use the pens. We will be learning about how water quality effects all of us. We will be identifying point source and non point source pollutants and creating problem solving solutions via digital drawing ideas. The students will then use the pens to create their solution and test that solution with the design they have created. The PLA in the pen really makes it like comes to life as a real prototype they can test.
