We've integrated the resources into several hands-on activities, including a recent science project where students built simple machines using the new manipulatives. The visual aids and tactile tools have made abstract concepts much more accessible, especially for my visual and kinesthetic learners. These materials have helped foster deeper engagement and collaboration among students, turning lessons into experiences they truly connect with.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were visibly excited—many gathered around the boxes with wide eyes and eager hands. For some, it was their first time seeing such high-quality educational tools, and their enthusiasm was immediate. One student exclaimed, \"It's like we have our own science lab now!\" Their reactions reminded me how impactful the right resources can be in sparking curiosity and building a love for learning. These materials haven't just supported instruction—they've transformed it.","fullyFundedDate":1746785245800,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-supplies/9228508/","projectTitle":"First Year Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9810156"},{"teacherId":2057749,"projectId":9274604,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom art supplies. Because I am a teacher librarian, I manage our school library and teach out of this collaboration space. I have created a special World Language section where these books will be housed for students and/or teachers to read while in the library, pulled for lessons/instructions, or checked out for personal use. We have catalogued and processed these books so they can be identified by our school barcode library system as well as labeled by specific language. \r\n\r\nThe books purchased cover a wide range of languages to meet the skills and needs of our diverse population of students. Your donations funded approximately 45 books across 14 different languages and will be used to specifically promote, encourage, and offer support to multilingual students who are strengthening and maintaining their native language as they learn and practice English. The overwhelming benefits of being bilingual (strong academics, cultural awareness, social skills, and creating identity) are a focal point and strategic goal of my school district. These books will support us while we work to develop opportunities for our students to grow in these areas. \r\n\r\nThis spring, we celebrated the addition of these new books to our school community and the \"unveiling\" of this new World Language book section in our library. We celebrated our diversity, cultures, languages, and love of literacy with a kick off that involved reading, writing, conversation, crafts and food! The smiles on our students faces was immeasurable! Some of them did not want to put the books back, they were enjoying so much the opportunity to read a tangible book that had been printed in their native language!","fullyFundedDate":1740691504128,"projectUrl":"project/bilingual-books-and-native-libraries/8972801/","projectTitle":"Bilingual Books and Native Libraries","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hyde","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5894573_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732717436795","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5894573"},{"teacherId":1534378,"projectId":8963088,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to teach my students the life skill of laundry!
